Epcot: This weekend is your final chance to experience Maelstrom the Theme Park Ride

Epcot: This weekend is your last opportunity to ride Maelstrom the Tourist attraction. The trip, which opened in 1988, will certainly lug park visitors with a history of Norway for the last time Sunday. Maelstrom has long been a popular location in Epcots World Showcase, where destinations are scarce. Guests have recently gathered to ride the ride one last time, producing wait times upwards of 90 minutes at times. Maelstrom showcases a chilly boat ride through Norwegian scenes, ranging from trolls, to polar bears to oil rigs. Ruled out an adventure ride, the boat does take a 28-foot drop into a scene of oil well, depicting the present day North Sea.
